Alberto Vargas got No. 2, in particular his 1967 piece „Trick or Treat” (involving cats, not witches — and so not to be confused with his 1963 „Trick or treat, Mr Malcolm,” which I discuss here).Given such fine competition, I am content with the bronze.BTW: with the surge of interest in all things witchy over Halloween, the number of hits on this site reach half a million. To me this is a vast and astonishing number, but I discovered the other day (when I bought „a thousand of the most important books ever written”) that the Internet Sacred Text Archive often gets a million hits per day! Puts it all in perspective.
